Be Well

Introducing Myself

I wanted to take a quick moment to introduce myself. I hope that you will get to know my be reading my posts. But I figured it couldn’t hurt to give you a bit of information before you start.

HI! My name is Chrissy, I live in Columbus, OH, and I’m 36. I include this information so you know where I am coming from when I am writing. I’ve had certain life experiences that are directly connected to my location and age.

Other important information I think you should know is that I am married to an amazing and supportive man named Ryan. We have chose to be child free. We have an awesome cat who is sometimes a dick. We also have a snake named Scarlet, and Ryan keeps a spider named Fluffy in his office.

I like to be crafty, and I do a lot of crafts! Ryan and I enjoy craft beer and home brewing. My favorite things to watch on Netflix are crime procedurals, but I also like science fiction. I mostly read nonfiction, but I do like to immerse myself in a fictional world from time to time.

Lastly, I live with a list of chronic illnesses. I have an intractable migraine, which means my head always hurts, some days are worse than others, and sometimes it does go away, but so far it has always come back. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 10 years ago and believe I have lived with it my whole life because of particular experiences I had as a child. I also struggle with depression and anxiety.

I am very interested in self care, taking care of ourselves as we go about our daily lives. This is one of the reasons I started this blog. Other reasons are to share information about living with chronic illness, as well as treatments and techniques that I have benefitted from . I also wanted to foster community among my readers and their caregivers.

Some information in this blog will be specifically geared toward the chronically ill. But I also think that an average healthy person can benefit from my experiences and learn something new.

Feel free to contact me through the contact page. You can also find my Twitter and Instagram sharing where I find joy and share tips and tricks of living well.
